"The training and support offered by the MFL tutors is second to none, they are all very enthusiastic with years of experience in the classroom and are very familiar with the challenges you will face each step of the way. Placements tend to be allocated with a trainee's individual needs in mind and the PGCE MFL department works with schools that are committed to being intentional and helpful in training new teachers. My PGCE tutor was extremely supportive during my time training and I also received excellent support in both schools." - Matthew

I cannot recommend this course highly enough. In university we received a fantastic variety of lectures, workshops and excursions. School placements were carefully selected and assigned according to skills and requirements. The tutors were very supportive throughout and I always felt my feedback was taken on board. There is also the opportunity for linguistic development through the optional Italian and Latin courses. Having started my NQT year I feel that the skills and knowledge acquired during my PGCE have prepared me well for my teaching career.

The PGCE programme is excellent! It offers you a wide variety of lectures and workshops on several key aspects of teaching. The tutors provide excellent support and so do school-based tutors. The training really prepares you for your NQT year in the best possible way.
