Could not recommend this university enough. The course is hard, but being pushed right to your limits is the only to prepare you to the mountain of work that teaching is. The support is second to none, which means that you never face anything alone. I practically lost track of everyone that knew me by name and was available for questions and help during the year. They have a range of schools for placements, which should help prepare you for any eventuality when you start your NQT. In addition, they provide you with opportunities for career advancement even beyond the course, with the support of experienced and HUMAN tutors just an email away, and funded opportunities for CPD which your school won't turn down!
The course is very full-on, but everything we did had its purpose and the tutors' aim is to prepare you the best they can in the time they have. The seminars are interesting and relevant, with lots of interesting guest speakers who are genuinely enthusiastic about teaching. The tasks are a mix of theory and putting this into practice, with opportunities to work with both KS5 and younger pupils. There is a great support network if you should ever need it - both with regards to tasks and work and any other issues you might be having. I would recommend it to anyone looking to start their teaching career.
The support that you receive throughout the year is amazing. All the tutors are well experienced professionals that will help you go through the year. I will always remember the support from my tutor on my weakest moments during this experience. At University, they will always make sure to create a friendly learning environment and they will always be open to help you with any questions you might come up with, whatever that does involve. I would totally recommend this course.

This course fully prepares you for the world of teaching. It offers a challenging, yet very fulfilling year that truly prepares you for your NQT year. The mentors are very experienced and are absolute experts at what they do! They offer a wealth of knowledge and practical ideas to help your practice. The course itself is packed of useful seminars and activities also aimed at improving your practice. I would really recommend this course to anyone thinking of starting a career in teaching.
